Saying goodbye to our loved ones is one of the hardest things any of us will ever have to do. When the time comes for our residents to say goodbye, we will do everything in our power to ensure that their passing from this world is as peaceful, comfortable and pain-free as possible, and they will pass surrounded by love, kindness and everything they need to make their final few days and hours as easy as we can.
We work closely with our vets to ensure that all medical treatment necessary is given, and the welfare and quality of life of our residents is our priority at all times. Wherever possible, our residents will pass in the comfort of their home, with us holding them, surrounded by love, kind words and gentle hands.
We believe that, if you listen, animals will tell us when they no longer want to hold on. There will come a time when they no longer want to be here, when their will to live can no longer win as their bodies give up. Heartbreaking though it is to accept, we will listen to our residents, we will listen to our vets, and we will listen to our hearts. We wholeheartedly promise them that we will do what they need, not what we want. We will not prolong life for our sake, nor will we end life for our sake. The needs of the residents and their quality of life are the most important thing, and we will do everything in our power to fulfill their needs and let them pass with dignity, respect, love, kindness and peace.
When the time comes, we will have each resident individually cremated, and their ashes buried in our Memorial Garden.
